retro: and last august ...

... in 2007, here are tidbits of just a year ago (that kind of seems like yesterday at times),

• san diego visit ... in the beginning of the month - over at coronado for a break and brunch was a must - along with other (drinking) activities filled in between and around those events.
  
  this year, will be pseudo-vacationing in SD in late-september. specifics to be later posted. gotta say "bon viaje" to sha! (and congrats!)
  
  
• home stuff ... my home was burglarized by some skinny-ass-punk-shithead(s) [SAPS] on 08/20 (a little shout out here). as a result, i did learn about actions to take (part 3, which includes links to parts 1 and 2) after a burglary (because magz has taught me there always is a silver lining to speak of - and magz is wise. we **heart** magz).
  
  and no - the stolen goods were never retrieved. credit card charges by SAPS were dismissed by amex. and it's a small law enforcement world.

• high school stuff ... i was reminded that as a kid, i used to sew. and although i didn't get l.a.g. into the toothpick dress that i sewed, maybe there is still some reason to do something with the dress in the current pr5air activities.
  
  
• friend visits ... and pays (well, i think the company pays, or not - not sure) for a mega-meal, coupled with enjoyable conversation!
  
  
• blog stuff ... i continued with the friday's feast meme AND my weekend activities were posted for r|alex. i stalked spinning girl. not so much friday's feast lately, but i still take pics of food. some r|alex here & there, but certainly not consistent. and must re-stalk sg.
  
  
• alumni moments ... with a picnic reunion of sorts of college folks (which followed a happy hour reunion the day before).
  
  for this year, still figuring out with my buddy (a) when the next gathering will be, as well as WHERE the next gathering will be - given that alums live throughout the greater BA.
  
  
• work stuff ... in the beginning of the month, i wrote a thank you e/m after an interview for a position that i eventually accepted and then promptly saw a matinee movie (which ended up being quite apropos) that very afternoon.
