wk 1 thoughts so far ...
wow! 1st week was last week in the tradtional work-force. what a change! so here is what's running through my mind - some stuff i've learned and am learning* ...
- napping ... no more power naps, unless there is some place at work where this does happen (and is accepted)
- toys ... no more working a couple of hours between lunch time yoga and cardio/kickboxing (c/k), ... until i find a yoga place in s.f. or evening yoga near my home and make sure i am back in time for c/k (so no purple mat, pink boxing gloves, black handwraps)
- car accessories ... i need to get a better cup holder for my carpooling efforts
- mid-day sustenance ... bringing lunch needs to happen every once in a while
- mornings ... gotta take the 45 min prep in the morning (before heading out) and see if i can beat that time; maybe stick to the
- off kilter ... biggest readjustment items that come time mind when thinking about the whole home office/business owner re-entering the workforce ... commute, work schedule, what to wear to work, and where to eat (or what to bring to eat, i guess)
- commute - i am (and my body) still in shock (and i figured i would be)
- work schedule - just not an apples/apples comparison; it's more like an apples/beer comparison
- wear - gone are the days of wearing my slogan and artsy-fartsy t-shirts with whatever jeans, sweat pants, or shorts ... topped (or bottomed) off with pro-keds, converse, flip flops, running or hiking shoes, etc.
- eat - well, it is self-explanatory
of this self-imposed life change
are being pondered in relo angst.]
