bonus friday ... up in woo-woo land

(that land would be marin county) ... where there was an r|wear siting in mill valley at an r|chow, after i did an "enviro-thing" in tiburon.

on thurs eve, hung out over at kdz's before fri's day-long workshop (championing sustainability, led by syntony quest) in tiburon. (will later post something about the workshop.)

after the fri seminar, kdz and i did three VERY important things ... in order of importance - (1) took pooch benny for a long walk to do his pooch thing, (2) went to west elm (because the corte madera location is the ONLY freakin' location in northern cal) and (3) ate dinner.

(and congrats to kdz - the owner of two new mirrors. yippee!!!)

r|wear ... siting at r|chow. (sure, it was kind of a staged, but it also can get cold at night.)

r|chow ... at ora in mill valley. yum. yum. so let's talk about din and deconstruct what we had for the evening.

sake cocktails
mint monsoon - lime and fresh mint leaves are muddled with sugar, nigori sake and soju. served tall on the rocks with a splash of soda to finish.

sumo squeeze - OJ, tripple sec, peach nectar, soju and nigori sake. all cuddled "up" with an orange wedge.

din-din & appetizers included - tap water ('cuz you get a choice, people); spicy eggplant; tempura green beans; garlic somen noodles; fried bread; wokked baby bok choy; and sesame crusted (sashimi grade) tuna with shrimp, wasabi potatoes ... and some wavy other stuff on the plate (which i forget). and let's not forget the pretty flower petals.

dessert ... did not happen (wah-wah-wah). we had chose to pass on dessert given the major amount of din-din/appetizers consumed. as a result, next time, it will be coffee + dessert. our server, tony, says the bread pudding and the panna cotta are awesome ... and of course the bombe. we shall see and taste. next time.
