pondering my BA activities ...

... 'cuz i live here, now, and i do not live in SD. (still feeling melancholy since visiting SD last week)

live music ... don't have this covered yet.
not so much nearby where i live. in SD? lived near several places mainly because of being 5-10 minutes from downtown SD and not more than 30-minutes from other places - house of blues, casbah, 4th and B, belly up, and a few coffee houses. in BA? haven't been to any places in the BA, yet. a couple of places will hit this summer - cafe du nord and boom boom room ... and i expect to hit others. just gotta get plugged in, eh?

coffee on the weekend ... i've got this one covered.
nearby where i live in the BA, peet's or paddy's - depends on my mood. of course, i totally miss my fave, influx, in SD.

running weekend home errands ... i'm in the 'burbs, so this is a cinch where i'm at in the BA.
totally nearby malls, drug stores, car washes, and more specific ... target, trader joe's, uboc, post office, and retail therapy moments at rei, dsw, b&n, and the apple store. what i'm not near enough that was part of my SD weekends - container store, west elm, and art store (blick). oh well.

so what don't i get to do as much of as i did in SD? ... water!!!
i miss my proximity to WATER! to the ocean! in SD, i was 5-10 minutes from the SD bay and many, MANY beaches! i used to drive to shelter island, harbor island, coronado, point loma/cabrillo national monument, ocean beach, mission bay, or la jolla to sip coffee, sit, read, and/or just walk and enjoy the water. here in the BA? well - i'm working on it. i'm near the SF bay ... and i just gotta get to nearby trails. i'm pretty close to trails near the dumbarton bridge. and i've flagged some places in the afoot & afield for the BA.

i will continue to ponder
