tie breaker for tier 2 winners? ... don't yet have all the specifics, but it will involve rock-paper-scissors-lizard-spock (as discussed over here). also, there will be 2 parts:

tc5 peeps ... well, NO ONE chose the TCW (top chef winner) so scores remain absolutely the same as last week. and as mentioned in the reminder post, there are 3 categories to be heralded -

• highest score, overall
• highest score in the "back of the pack"
• fan favorite winner

we are in a holding pattern ... awaiting whether fabio, carla, or ariane (for the purposes of tc5 peeps in top chefrivolity) have been chosen as fan fave. the fan fave has NOT been announced. so here is where we are with overall points WITHOUT considering fan fave.
what does this mean? ... for the 3 categories -

• highest score, overall ... if carla is NOT fan fave, we have a tie (19.0) between harold's girl and raviolo. however, if carla is fan fave, jolli-E wins at 21.5.
  
• highest score in the "back of the pack"... there is a tie between ha gow and carnito! at 11.0 points.
  
• fan favorite winner ... fabio, carla, and ariane are the possibilities. so really, it's either a tie between the fabio's faved (harold's girl, halo-halo, piragua, raviolo, tbd buzz, dean iguana), a tie between the carla's faved (pho queen, jolli-E), or a tie between the ariane's faved (ha gow, carnito!). points to date ... for comparison, last week's scores in parens and given that those who selected (dean iguana was shedding some skin and didn't make it to the keyboard) all chose leah as their "L" chef, most everyone got that extra point for epi13 to be skankless.

for tcfrivolity peeps ... below presents the current status (as of ~ 9:45 PM) of whether dean iguana will get a bonus point, BUT FIRST (!) - and sacto floyd, aka dean iguana speaks (and spits) ...

• I don't need a handout, just a hand...and a liver, kidney, spleen, and any other parts I can sell on ebay.
  Remember that a society is judged, not by the way it treats its most defenseless citizens, but by the way it treats lounging, cold-blooded lizards.

• I don't know dean iguana from diniguan or deep-in-guano, but from what I heard on the 'net (and from what I heard is on the women's bathroom walls in Arco Arena), he seems like an extraordinarily nice guy. The kind of guy that would vote for YOU if you asked him nicely. So what if his skin is somewhat scaly and he lounges around on branches all day long? You would, too, if you're faced with a 2-day furlough from the former steroid-shooting Gropinator. And I heard he has significantly advanced shirlsd's collection of cubisms. So whaddayasay? Let's give him a teensy, little, itty bitty wittle point -- one for the Gipper.

tc5: epi7 - final results

not a spoiler for most ... and because i'm presuming the virtual players ACTUALLY read the blog and i enjoy posting this sh**, i'm posting without the spoiler warning. THAT and EVERYONE is on the board, thanks to the 2 losers who were booted off (errr ... packed their knives ...

so this post includes ... results of tcfrivolity picks (final scores after epi7), a l'il blurb about current ranks, stats of cheftestants, and the crawl to high score. i'll post bhg separately!

everyone is on board.
and the order from high to low scores as follows:

• raviolo = 8.0 ... raviolo had faith that team rainbow would continue to represent (at least until epi8) and that scallopgate would NOT rear it's ugly head. (head on the scallop?)
• harold's girl = 7.0 ... who, in pr5air, was happy there were bonus points and YET ... crazy scoring did NOT need to happen for her epi7 picks. just as raviolo, she had her faith in scallop chick ... as did she have faith that tatt man & bangs chick would be asked to pack their knives
• tbd buzz = 4.5 ... it's NEVER TOO LATE!!! (well, maybe it is now.) an impressive score, given buzz joined AFTER epi5. (and buzz ... feel free to pick an icon or i'll need to use the one from pr5air - no want to do.)
  
• carnito! = 4.0 ... with another 3 points, after being the 1st tcfrivolity peep to score back in epi3, carnito! (as with most everyone else) picked the losing pair. of course, it's my understanding that carnito! was yelling "shennanigans!!!" about QF LOSER picks, but that's not my fault if carnito! doesn't read (can cooked-pigs read?) the (annoying reminder) e-mails and watch the video where radhika talked about her immunity. HOLA CARNITO?!?!?!
  
• halo-halo = 4.0 ... that's me. i picked the winner. that was the art of it all. i didn't pick tatt man 'cuz i was hoping bravo would continue with some dumb drama in future episodes that would involve some reference to tatts or asians or height or shaved heads. no such luck. (but bangs did get asked to pack it up.)
  
• phở queen = 4.0 ... after being the ONLY ONE who chose the winner in epi6, phở queen picked up another 2 points because she, too, knew bangs had to go. also, she chose wisely for one of the 3 QF lower scoring who were a-tad-bit-shat-on-by-judges cheftestants.
• jolli-E = 3.5 ... from zero to 3.5, again, one who selected the losing pair and the ONLY ONE who chose scallopgate-jamie as a QF low scorer. get busy, you jolli-E.
  
• piragua = 3.5 ... also from zero to 3.5, earning this by choosing the losing pair and ariane motherhood as one of the QF low scorers. for someone that doesn't watch the show, pretty good stuff, maynard.
  
• ha gow = 3.0 ... although ha gow was ONE OF TWO (the other being phở queen) who scored in epi2's practice picks, ha gow raced into epi7 with zero and garnered 3.0 points, selecting the losing pair. unlike carnito!, ha gow refrained from "shennanigan-itis" - the condition of whining about how one got scammed off of points, but in fact, it was a result of not reading one's e-mails.
  
• dean iguana = 2.0 ... it's tough being a lazy iguana on a stick, as well as a devoted top chefrivolity watcher - twice in one night, i understand. your picks were bold and your sentiment of bravo reuniting team rainbow is more than charming. however, it's time to put your wiley skills to work as an iguana (whatever those skills are) and step it up before carnito! decides l'il reptiles are tasty-treats.

tc5: epi7 - update to reminder

(posting an UPDATED REMINDER for tcfrivolity peeps!)
here is the ORIGINAL reminder over here ... and here is the updated pick sheet, scoring system, and new deadline for submitting picks to accommodate:

• quickfire LOSER ... pick who you think may be part of the lower scoring pool of quickfire peeps
• pair of LOSERS ... pick 2 (two) peeps because i'm told new-judge-kick-in-the-ass will boot two peeps
  (THANK YOU! fill that freakin' sequester house with the lame-ass cheftestants!)
• deadline ... i'm told the NEXT new episode will be January 7 and therefore skipping two wednesdays - choose sooner or later, but choose before the next episode

what is the scoring system for epi7 ... made up math as follows -

• quickfire winner correctly chosen (only) = 1.0 point
• elimination challenge winner correctly chosen (only) = 1.0 point
• elimination challenge ONE loser correctly chosen (only) = 1.0 point
• elimination challenge BOTH losers correction chosen (only) = 2.5 points
  
• both winner & ONE loser correctly chosen = 3.0 points
• both winner & TWO losers correction chosen = 4.5 points
  
• quickfire, winner & ONE loser correctly chosen = 5.5 points
• quickfire, winner & TWO losers correctly chosen = 7.0 points
