jengyee remembered ... as mentioned in a previous post (over here), jengyee died of complications from lupus on nov 10th in southern california. the memorial is nearby the berkeley campus.

needless to say ... i will be attending, and i know that as a student-alumni mentor to jengyee in her 3rd year at cal, i didn't get a chance to meet many of jengyee's friends. i was living in san diego at the time; however, she and i made a point to talk quite a bit, AND i made a point to head up to the bay area to hang-out with her whenever i was up for work or for fun.

our mentor-mentee relationship evolved into a unique friendship. i am grateful for all she brought to my life. it was a pleasure to have her meet my mother. and i know that if my dad was alive, he would have very much enjoyed meeting jengyee. in fact, i'm fairly certain he would have felt like she was a dear family member and likely have connected with her as i and my mom did so readily.

having said all this, i so very much look forward to meeting jengyee's friends and family at this very special event. please feel free to send me an e-mail.
