r|break: ... potpourri
i gots me nothing(!) organized to post but i have various "shiny penny" (a.k.a. random sh**) in my head. so here goes, in no special order:
- i used to sew! ... with a high school moment (oh .... 25+ years ago!) of "rami-wear", i
made my senior ball dress. (i thought about this today because i am STILL very slowly moving stuff back and forth incleaning out my garage, and i realized i either sold my sewing machine or left it in SD.) - music break ... iceman and i exchanged music info for tunes to pass the time. so here are some iceman suggestions (alternative, indie, pop, rock, world):

Great dress, love the draping, is that shantung? Were you preparing for PR back in the 80's? If so, bust out that sewing machine (even if you hocked it) and, in the words of TG, 'make it work'.....
I almost ate at the Gold Club when I last visited you at Region 9. Of course, with "Welcome to the Jungle" blasting away and a gallon of brass polish sitting in the corner, I just knew it was going to be an all-you-can-eat joint. The nice waitress even offered to dance at my table. Or was it on the table? Alas, I brought only plastic and no cash, so I ordered the Chef's Surprise to go and waited 10 days (two full incubation periods) for the "surprise" to arrive.
to jenm - i don't recall if it was shantung. i actually STILL have the dress. if you press on the picture now, i have it 'linked' to a previous post that shows you the vogue pattern from which the dress was made.
to sacto floyd - without knowing which surprise arrived, i googled for you and presuming you are "ok" - a l'il azithromycin or doxycycline ... or i saw this commercial where you can go white water rafting, cycling, etc... some thing called valtrex or something. (you are a crazy man!)
Maybe the Gold Club inspired the movie, "Herpie the Love Bug?"
