short story: CUBEOPOLIS
happy was i when, after the e-missive to occasional shirlrelo2 readers about the previous post, i received a yap from the oracle.

Additionally, I believe cube-opolus should be written “Cubeopolis” – the manner of naming Greek city-states (that is, “-polis” -meaning city, citizenship or of the people) and not the manner of the zoological classification suffix (-us, having or form of, ex. “Wonder Twins powers activate: Shape of a bucket, form of an octopus.” Remember…“form of” always takes the form of an animal).
Your use of “-us” was grossly inappropriate. Consider yourself appropriately chastised."

Etymology: Middle English ethimologie, from Anglo-French, from Latin etymologia, from Greek, from etymon + -logia -logy
tho' given the written gaffe, as i consider being a cubester, i can't help but wonder if cube-opolus, my error in the -us vs. -is, should still be included in the wading pool of cube-alabras, y'know?

Commenting to Oracle's chastise. Wow, Oracle must really have a gyro up his/her butt about latin and greek roots of words in the English language. I went to college and even still do not understand the issue. Of course I did not go to Cal, so my education level is reasonably suspect.
