commute bus with heat, comfy seats, ...
the sched ... first bus in the morning leaves at 5:49 a.m., and the last bus from s.f. to home leaves at 8:00 p.m. from the transbay terminal. my "regular" departure from s.f.? the 6:30 p.m. bus, which has left at times ranging from ~6:45-7:05 p.m. or so.
a mere 5-8 minutes (comfortable) door-to-bus stop in the morning. a springy ~15 minutes (with a mild heart rate increase) from cube-politan-to-terminal in the evening.
time warp ... with the time warp of time-telling devices and messengers (e.g., clocks, watches, ipod, phone, clock towers, radio, etc.), i'm not real certain about the morning time estimate. i leave the home based on a clock in my bathroom, look at the clock in my car, think i have several minutes to the bus-stop, and then find myself dashing from the park-n-ride, "frogger-ing" it across the street (... and yes, i've carbon-dated myself) to greet and thank the bus driver for not contributing to a story about how the bus left without me, even tho' i was just walking up to the bus stop sign and it was 5:46 a.m. according to my watch.
why am i blogging in the morning ... despite the fact that i have to lug my laptop on a day when i know it's going to rain (70% chance) and i am wearing cute but killer 3"-heeled boots?
o.k. - heading across the bridge already, gonna pack up the squirrelinator, and gonna find my change for my morning caffeine fix to head into cube-alabras land!
so get them creative juices flowing.)

I think the stress of working for the man has blown out shirlsd's brain. I have lots of clocks, watches and other devices which indicate the time. Evidently shirlsd has a special relationshipt with these devices; they talk to her. Shirlsd: Mental health professionals call these "command voices" and they are not normally a harbinger of a crazy-free future.
Crossing the street ala frogger (not centipede?) is dangerous. A police officer I know picked up more than one dead commuter calls those people "zombies." Don't be a zombie.
I can can firm the Zombie tale...yes, it is a true story! It's a dangerous world for sleepy commuters!
Shirlsd, I am glad to hear that you are wearing your 3" heels for the commute and not sneakers and socks only to change once you arrive at work, not to mention losing valuable bag space because you have to carry those killer boots! Awesome, you ROCK!
Who knew Zombies have tails? Who Jenm had the power to firm them? Are firm Zombie tails better than soft ones (like tofu)?
Okay, okay, okay, it was supposed to say confirm, personally I prefer firm, tofu that is.....
as long as the two of you (bill n & jenm) are o.k. talking about firm or not so firm tails (or tales), then i'm here (or hear) to provide the venue. proceed.
