ReLo'd to BA from SD

in late 2006, relocated my angst, business, and social life to NoCal from SoCal ... just a 40-something chick in the 'burbs of the SF bay area who randomly posts about random topics ... the occasional quirky stories of dating (or not) at 40-ish, work-week cubeopolis frivolity, rambling musings on nostalgika, and the occasional introspective moments in life.(thanks for visiting! >p, b)

i'm in the initial stages ...

... of effort #3 to get back to running (or at least a good healthy jog of sorts). my little schedule is over on the right & more details over here for the activities involved in this (re)effort.

effort #2 was a couple of years ago in early 2006 when i knew i'd be moving back to the bay area & i was looking forward to hanging out with buddies that were totally into running and/or just starting to do so. i got as far as teetering among weeks 4-5-6 and then ... i don't remember why i stopped, but it likely had something to do with being lazy or the heat wave SD was having or the major packing and moving efforts or some other dorky excuse (or a combination of dorky excuses). effort #1 (without the little program) was shortly after my dad died of a heart attack and - well ... it's just one of several things that i did, y'know?! o.k. then ... let's see how things progress!

fun times!

Why abuse your feet and ankles, when you can Kickaroos them instead?

Well, no, not really. I just thought they looked fun on tv. The story I saw said it's easier on your ankles and feet than plain running shoes. And they may have a secondary function as a Dude Magnet! Plus you can use them to leap over those obstacles to environmental enlightenment that EPA may place before you.
