ReLo'd to BA from SD

in late 2006, relocated my angst, business, and social life to NoCal from SoCal ... just a 40-something chick in the 'burbs of the SF bay area who randomly posts about random topics ... the occasional quirky stories of dating (or not) at 40-ish, work-week cubeopolis frivolity, rambling musings on nostalgika, and the occasional introspective moments in life.(thanks for visiting! >p, b)

r|psa: ... so THAT'S how it works?!

Bookmark and Share

as if it wasn't obvious ... i likes me my truth in advertising, so here is a commercial i saw while eating dinner (and apparently felt compelled to share as blog fodder)

"it has arrived. the next generation of pregnancy tests.
it's designed breathtakingly simple.
it's circuitry - incredibly precise.
without a doubt - it is the most sophisticated piece of technology
you will ever pee on.
finally a test that can be used up to four days early
and also gives you a result in words.
clear blue digital pregnancy test.
so advanced. it's easy."

honestly! how 'bout SOME truth in advertising?! i think i'm going to go pee on my iPod. (better.)

and of course, this immediately reminded me of ... (be patient for the 1:10 mark)

- excuse me. may i go to the bathroom first?
-- of course you may.
- thank you.
ahhh ... better.
much better.

If you are looking for sophisticated things to urinate on (without destroying them, like your ipod), try:

Your fancy hybrid car.

A Sherman tank (watch out for the guys with rifles).

Your notebook computer in a plastic sack.

Nothing your employer gives you as equipment or tools.

The list can go on.

billn, are you suggesting i start (errr ... continue with yours) a list - "stuff that are sophisticated pieces of technology that i can pee on"? if so, fascinating.

If you did that, it would be called an "iPeed." Of course, if you did a No. 2 on it, it would then be called an "iPood."

I'm just saying...

Peeing in the hybrid would only help if shirl had gone out on an ethanolic consumption trip (a.k.a., "bar hopping"). And then she'd still have to "contribute" to her improved emissions from the outside of the car, an iffy proposition under the best of circumstances. Both the ethanol and urea would help emissions, but she'd need to modify her car's fill tube to separate out the urea and add an SCR unit to control the NOx downstream of the engine. But with EPA's resources at her disposal, I'm sure Shirl's up to the challenge!

You can call your modified hybrid the "Peeus." And if you modified it further to enable use of your "iPood" (see above), you would then call the car "the Shitaxi Mushroom" (well it is a Japanese car, you know).

Man it up!

I think I am in love, again. Sacto Floyd is the funniest (or should I say punniest), you rock! Where do you come up with this stuff?

Consider those fancy Japense toilets with electronic bidet conrols. If you owned one of those, that would be something sophisticated you could pee on.

Sacto smokes. Being a lawyer is a waste of Sacto's talent.

IPeed, IPood and Peeus are in a league of their own.
