or more likely ... 'cuz i liked classes so much that i took some a second time? uh. o.k. - that's the other part of the reason.

It took me 4.5 years due to my unwitting discovery of the joys and pitfalls of love. I'll leave it to your faithful readers on how best to interpret that.
Those of us who studied engineering light (civil engineering) were able to make it in four years (with summer study at community college at night). You chemical engineers are two smart.
and ewe, mr. bill n, are more better than the too of us. (are wee playing the homonym game? or civil engineers don't no english good? ha!)
Not everybody is so smart that they can understand organic and physical chemistry and use correct grammar. Undereducated people of the world Unite!
It's not that we ChemE's were any smarter. Rather, we decided to amortize our education over a longer timeframe, hoping that our accruing knowledge was somehow inflation-indexed whereas our starting salaries were not.
You are very smart, civil engineers don't even understand what amortize is.

I can't believe you have this, let alone found it! Too much! I could have been the next Edgar Casey.....instead, I'm just another non-practicing Chem E :)
