Consider selling out/buying in and go work for the man. Let him worry about business, you find a job where the pressures are less and you can live your life away from work.
Punch a clock, you deserve it for a few years. Then decide what is important? Relatives, romance, travel? Political activism? Teaching english? Relief work in Eastern Africa? The world is yours, but you have to ask and answer the hard question, what do I want to do with my time?

bill n, thanks for the words of "...go work for the man" ... because the question really becomes would the man even want me to work for the man?! regardless - time off is for other stuff besides work. i have, once again, underestimated the power of the "relo" experience. i'll just say that much, for now!
