it's very likely that "piece of paper" will follow me in cubeopolis and if/when i leave cubeopolis, so i hope someone gives me a t-shirt, baseball cap, fridge magnet or jewelry memorializing this! (it's not like i said "your babies ugly!") if not, just hug me, please...

r|psa: out and about

domestic travel is in my future ... looks like SD, portland, and boston before the end of the year. (tickets yet to be purchased) and now that i work for the man, it is extremely clear - i have learned the spur-of-the-moment mid-week trips that i enjoyed will now be either via whatever meager annual leave i've acquired or what lwop i can get approved. (criteria for approving? i don't know.) with just a tad more than 10 months of employment ... not so much on annual leave.

notes to self ... so it's all about planning time off (?! ugh!). i have learned that while in phoenix and traveling back, netroots nation was going on in austin, tx; next year it's in pittsburgh, pa, in august. just learned about south by southwest annually in austin, tx, in march. and i've known about the oregon shakespeare festival (osf) in ashland, since the 1988 ('tho kind of associated it with the "older people" with whom i worked), an event for several months so a pick and choose of plays and out-and-about for whatever timeframe.

intend to add more to the list for the excuse of domestic travel - nearby or not so nearby.
