stick me! happy b-day l'il nephew

happy b-day! ... my l'il nephew turned 10 yrs old last week.

back in april, he told me what he wanted for his b-day. and meanwhile, he wouldn't let me play with his nintendo ds (but that's another story).

eventually, i coaxed him into letting me draw some pics on his nintendo ds (hoping i could run away with his nintendo without doing him bodily harm play one of his games) - and i ended up just drawing a kinda shitty but amusing 'knock-off' of a gary larson panel (stick figures playing volleyball).

nephew laughed and THEN nephew had many other ideas of other sports-related concepts. those sports? ...

memorialized right then and there ...

as a good tía, i obeyed nephew's wishes, and despite my limited "artistic" abilities, part of my b-day gift to nephew was a pad of paper with the opening page of the larson volleyball knock-off.

and after this pic ... i've yet to finish up nine more stick-figure, sports-related, body-part injury pics. some of the sketches to date ...

so many reasons why i love my nephew!!!
