ReLo'd to BA from SD

in late 2006, relocated my angst, business, and social life to NoCal from SoCal ... just a 40-something chick in the 'burbs of the SF bay area who randomly posts about random topics ... the occasional quirky stories of dating (or not) at 40-ish, work-week cubeopolis frivolity, rambling musings on nostalgika, and the occasional introspective moments in life.(thanks for visiting! >p, b)

nutkins reacts calmly
[nutkins. squirrel nutkins.]

After eating the food that he just could not resist,
squirrel nutkins calmly awaits his fate.

[perhaps the ol' b.c. pills are not distributed
among the squirrel population in leucadia]

There must be a law against inhumane capture and detention of enemy combatants. Oh wait, no there isn't. Hopefully you allow the Red Cross (or maybe the Red Nut) access to your prison facilities.

When do the tribunals start?

billn, i will inform the captors of your inquiry. meanwhile, please note that squirrel nutkins was caught red handed (uh ...? furry handed). moreover, inhumane is subjective; perhaps you can check with albert g, if he's not too busy, regarding inhumane.

Not red handed or furry handed, squirrels don't have hands. Red Pawed.

I think Alberto G. is looking for a new job right now, so he might not have time to write the memo explaining how capturing and holding (uncharged) indefinitely your combatant does not violate habeas corpus protections in the constitution.

lovely ... if my blog is monitored by security agency(ies), then they really know we are talking about mr. attorney-ish dude. anyway ... i believe the captors have a catch-n-release program. i don't know if there is a running man (hint: the movie) component, though, to the captor's program. (poor squirrel nutkins)

u pluribis unum and f'shizzle! adios.

Do they make those big enough for black bears? I'll risk the tribunals if they do.

funny ... for a moment, i read what jenm asked and thought jenm meant whether there were SQUIRRELS big enough for black bears to EAT, and i was gonna answer - "no, but there are lots of them for buffet-style, probably." ... then i realized, "oh. uh ... jenm meant the cage-thingy." oops.

I smell a new business opportunity. R|Squirrel. You can offer your pack of trained ferocious squirrels to:

1. replace junkyard dogs on guard duty.
2. replace hunting dogs for boar.
3. offer protection to ranchers from coyotes.
4. enforce our national boarders.
5. provide the next troop surge to Iraq.

This is a can't miss idea. Once you start the business, you can franchise it here to VT.
